Is my child at risk for hearing loss?
You may wish to obtain services if:
- Your child has recurrent earaches/infections
- Your family has a history of hearing loss (not age related)
- Your infant/toddler is not startled by loud sounds
- Your infant/toddler is not soothed by your voice
- Your infant/toddler does not turn his/her eyes or head in the direction of a sound
- Your infant (7+ months old) or toddler does not respond to his/her name
- Your infant/toddler has been diagnosed with any vision problems
- You have concerns related to the pregnancy or birth of your child
- Your child has been diagnosed or treated for childhood diseases (mumps, meningitis, etc)
- Your child has had any head or neck injuries
- Your have any concerns regarding your child's general development
