Is my child at risk for hearing loss?

You may wish to obtain services if:

  • Your child has recurrent earaches/infections
  • Your family has a history of hearing loss (not age related)
  • Your infant/toddler is not startled by loud sounds
  • Your infant/toddler is not soothed by your voice
  • Your infant/toddler does not turn his/her eyes or head in the direction of a sound
  • Your infant (7+ months old) or toddler does not respond to his/her name
  • Your infant/toddler has been diagnosed with any vision problems
  • You have concerns related to the pregnancy or birth of your child
  • Your child has been diagnosed or treated for childhood diseases (mumps, meningitis, etc)
  • Your child has had any head or neck injuries
  • Your have any concerns regarding your child's general development
