Hearing Loss Can Occur Slowly and at Any Age -- Should You have a Hearing Test?

The following questions may help you determine if an evaluation by an audiologist is advised:

  • Do you experience ringing or other noises in your ears?
  • Do you feel you hear better with one ear than with the other?
  • Have you had significant noise exposure at work, during recreational activities, or in the military?
  • Do you find it difficult to follow conversation in a noisy restaurant or crowded room?
  • Do you frequently feel that people are mumbling or not speaking clearly?
  • Do you experience difficulty following dialogue in the theater?
  • Do you frequently find it difficult to understand a speaker in public, at meetings or at a religious service?
  • Do you find yourself asking people to speak up or to repeat themselves?
  • Do you find men's voices easier to understand than women's?
  • Do you experience difficulty understanding speech on the telephone?

Answering yes to three or more of these questions may mean you have a significant hearing loss. If you feel you would like an evaluation, contact us for an appointment, or email:
